About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Payroll Consultant to deliver and manage our range of payroll services. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of payroll operations, regulations, and technologies, with a proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex payroll projects. You will be responsible for providing expert guidance to our clients, ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of their payroll processes. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Service Delivery & Management: 

Lead and manage the delivery of The Leppington Group's core services, including: 

  • Payroll Assessments & Healthchecks: Conducting comprehensive payroll assessments to identify errors, ensure compliance, and uncover cost-saving opportunities. 

  • Payroll Consultancy & Project Mediation: Providing strategic consulting to improve payroll operations, optimise systems, and resolve project conflicts. 

  • Payroll Efficiency Improvements: Implementing solutions to reduce administrative burden, streamline processes, and improve payroll technology. 

  • Payroll Vendor Selection Support: Guiding clients through the vendor selection process, from requirements scoping to implementation support. 

  • Payroll Technology Optimisation: Reviewing and enhancing existing payroll technology to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness. 

  • Act as the primary point of contact for client engagements, building strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction. 

  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively. 

Expert Guidance & Consultancy: 

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on all aspects of payroll, including compliance, best practices, and technology solutions. 

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of client payroll processes and systems to identify areas for improvement. 

  • Develop and implement tailored solutions to address client-specific needs and challenges. 

  • Stay up-to-date on the latest payroll regulations and industry trends. 

Business Development & Thought Leadership: 

  • Contribute to the development of new service offerings and solutions. 

  • Participate in business development activities, including proposal writing and client presentations. 

  • Represent The Leppington Group at industry events and conferences. 

  • Share your expertise and insights through thought leadership content, such as blog posts and white papers. 

Skills & Experience: 

  • Significant experience in the payroll industry, with a strong understanding of payroll operations, regulations, and technologies. 

  • Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex payroll projects. 

  • Experience in a consulting role is highly desirable. 

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. 

  • Strong client management and interpersonal skills. 

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

  • Proficiency in payroll software and technology solutions. 

  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPP, FCP) are a plus.
