About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Payroll Consultant to join our growing team. As a Consultant, you will play a vital role in delivering our range of services, helping clients improve their payroll processes, select the right technology, and resolve project challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Assessments & Health Checks: Conduct comprehensive payroll assessments to identify errors, ensure compliance, and uncover cost-saving opportunities. Deliver clear and actionable assessment reports with certification.
Payroll Consultancy & Project Mediation: Provide expert consulting services to optimise payroll operations, redesign workflows, and enhance compliance. Mediate and resolve conflicts between clients and vendors on technology projects, ensuring successful outcomes.
Payroll Efficiency Improvements: Streamline payroll processes, reduce administrative burdens, and implement technology improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Payroll Vendor Selection Support: Guide clients through the vendor selection process, from requirements scoping and supplier research to procurement and implementation support.
Payroll Technology Optimisation: Review and enhance existing payroll technology, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of our clients.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs and providing tailored solutions.
Business Development: Contribute to business development efforts by identifying new opportunities and participating in proposal development.
Skills & Experience:
Extensive experience in payroll operations, systems, compliance, and best practices.
In-depth knowledge of UK payroll regulations and legislation.
Proven ability to conduct payroll assessments, identify errors, and recommend solutions.
Strong consulting skills, with the ability to analyse complex situations and develop effective strategies.
Experience in managing payroll technology projects and mediating vendor relationships.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A relevant professional qualification (e.g., CIPP) is desirable.
